Alice Degree College of Arts and Commerce celebrated the birth anniversary of Kranti Jyoti Savitribai Phule on 3 January 2026 with great reverence and enthusiasm. The programme was conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the college campus.
The event was organized under the able guidance of the Principal, Dr. ShwetaChoudhari. The objective of the celebration was to remember and honour the invaluable contribution of Savitribai Phule towards women’s education, social reform, and equality.
The programme commenced with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Savitribai Phule. This was followed by speeches highlighting her remarkable journey as India’s first woman teacher and a fearless social reformer who dedicated her life to the upliftment of women and the marginalized sections of society.
Faculty members addressed the gathering and emphasized the relevance of Savitribai Phule’s thoughts and ideals in today’s society. Students also actively participated by expressing their views on her life, struggles, and inspiring legacy.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the principal, faculty members, and students for their active participation and for making the programme successful.
