Opening Ceremony
The Tree Plantation Drive began at 9:00 AM with an opening ceremony attended by the Principal, faculty members, and enthusiastic students. The principal delivered a speech highlighting the significance of trees in maintaining ecological balance and promoting a healthier environment. She emphasized the role of educational institutions in spreading awareness about environmental conservation.
A moment of silence was observed, followed by the ceremonial planting of the first sapling by the principal, symbolizing the college’s commitment to the cause.
Tree Plantation Activity
Following the opening ceremony, the participants were divided into groups, with each group assigned specific areas within the college campus for planting trees. The event saw an active participation of students and faculty, all eager to contribute to making the college environment greener.
Tree Saplings Planted:
A variety of saplings were planted during the event, including:
- Neem Trees: Known for their air-purifying qualities, neem trees were planted to improve the quality of air on campus.
